School Life - Feedback from the SalZH Students
We pray a lot in school. We are sitting on the floor during our meals. The students are nice. We have quite a few sport lessons. Each day we have the same schedule. We are allowed to eat and drink during lessons.
There are teachers who made a point of meeting us, others have not talked to us at all. The students are funny. We can talk quite well with them.
My school is huge. The students and teachers are usually very friendly. They were impressed that we are able to speak so many languages. Usually we pray before class sometimes also after lessons.
There is a prayer time during lessons. The students have no problem talking to us. There is free internet access in the school building, we are even allowed to eat and drink during class. We can use the mobile phone whenever needed.
The students are very helpful. We have totally different subjects, for example a class that’s called “film”, during the lesson we watch a movie and talk about it later. It seems to me that everything is a little bit more casual, for example we had gym class on our schedule every single day but then we had gym only once a week.
The teachers pray before lessons. The school is very big, first it was a little confusing for me.
I was immediately included. I have already made lots of friends. I like the was how open minded and warm the people are. It seems to me that science is more important here.
All the teachers are very friendly and helpful. It is obvious that this school is a Christian school. Before lessons start there is prayer. It easy for me to follow the courses.
We are included during lessons. We pray a lot in school. We can even receive prayer for our own personal issues. Everything is more casual.
I had to put together different light bulbs in science class and connect them with cables. We are wearing a uniform in gym class. I have to change from one bus to the next on my way home. Everything is bigger and sometimes it looks to me like a labyrinth. Early in the morning we pray before our first class. The choir is really cool. I even got my first personal laptop to work with.
We have the same classes every day. The chapel is huge. Everything is bigger.
The people here love to get to know us. There is prayer in school twice a day. In almost all the classes the teachers points out that there is some connection of the subject with the bible. The school is much bigger than ours. It seems to me there are less rules, the school is less strict.
